CARDIOLOGY PROGRAM MANAGER | CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF THE KING'S DAUGHTERS HEALTH SYSTEM | NORFOLK, VIRGINIA
The Cardiology Program Manager reports to the Director of Physician Practice Management and is responsible for the overall management and development of the Cardiology Program which includes: Cardiac Cath Lab, PVL, and Echo. The Cardiology Program Manager will work closely with Cath Lab Technologists, Echo Techs, Nursing Staff, and Cardiologists. Candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain a highly skilled team, including selection and education / competency of staff. Development of protocols and program development are key elements of this role. The Cardiology Program Manager will also be responsible for budget and financial accountability, integration of continuous quality improvement activities and customer relations while overseeing operations, marketing, facilities, finance, human resources and planning and development.
Requires Bachelors degree in business administration, nursing or a related field, masters degree preferred. Previous Cardiology management experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership, personal and professional ethics and an ability to inspire and motivate others required. Must be a team player as well as a team builder and developer of people. Incumbent will be persuasive, know how to establish sustained credibility, and be capable of working well with others. Previous experience developing relationships with physicians is required. Candidate must exhibit strong negotiating skills, have strong financial management skills and embrace emerging technology. Candidate must be a dynamic leader that is able to gain trust and respect of the physicians, staff and peers. This person must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate tasks as needed, and utilize resources to maximize effeciency.
